The Expert

As a new mother and homemaker, there are times when I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. There is a lot of stuff I don't know about raising a child. I haven't memorized the developmental milestones and I don't know when to start potty training or what kind of diaper a kid can wear at the beach. But regardless of all the stuff I have to learn (which I will in my own time), one thing I know beyond a shadow of a doubt is that no one knows my child like I do. I am the expert of my own child - not anyone else, regardless of their experience or education. I am the best person in the world at knowing my daughter, and that feels pretty stinkin' cool.
